Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis to support positive emotional and physical change. It involves guiding you into a state of deep relaxation — known as trance — where your mind becomes calm, focussed and more open to beneficial suggestions. We naturally experience trance-like states every day, such as when driving, exercising or daydreaming, and our thoughts drift elsewhere. In this state, the mind becomes more receptive, allowing you to explore underlying causes of difficulties, shift unhelpful thinking patterns and build healthier habits.
During hypnosis, you remain completely aware, in control and safe throughout the process. The aim is to access the subconscious mind — where habits and emotional responses are rooted — and help you reframe patterns or behaviours that may be holding you back.

Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £70 per session.

No — a hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything against your will. Hypnosis is not about losing control or being “mind-controlled.” During hypnosis, you enter a deeply relaxed yet focused state, but you remain fully conscious and in complete control of your thoughts, actions and choices.

Hypnotherapy can support positive change by working with both your conscious and subconscious mind. Through deep relaxation, it helps you access a focussed state where your subconscious becomes more open to positive suggestions and new ways of thinking.
It can be highly effective for a wide range of issues, including anxiety and stress, phobias, smoking or vaping cessation, weight management, pain control, confidence and self-esteem, sports performance, unwanted habits, sleep difficulties, and emotional healing or trauma recovery.

Solution-Focussed Hypnotherapy aims to reduce anxiety and help you think more positively so you can discover practical ways forward. It combines well-researched, science-based techniques that explain how the brain works and guide you from a problem-focused mindset toward a solution-focused one.
Rather than dwelling on the past, this approach focuses on how you feel today, how you’d like to feel, and the steps we can take together to get you there.
All that’s needed from you is a positive commitment to the process — with that and your hypnotherapist’s guidance, meaningful, lasting change is absolutely possible.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it’s also an act of courage. Whether it’s sending a message or making that first call, know that I’m here to help — and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am currently completing training with the National Autism and Mental Health Society, working toward a Certificate in Autism and Mental Health.
In previous posts as a mental health practitioner, I have supported neurodiverse clients using a person-centred approach, recognising that each individual’s experience of neurodiversity is unique.
I am aware that research into neurodiversity and hypnotherapy remains limited — as is often the case across many areas of therapy — and I am deeply passionate about helping to improve both access to and the quality of therapeutic experiences for neurodiverse individuals.
