About Me

I am a fully trained Solution-Focussed Hypnotherapist accredited by the Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (APHP), and through my Master in Psychological Science, I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS)

I have chosen to train as a hypnotherapist after seeing the positive and lasting effects members of my family experienced when being treated for IBS, anxiety and depression. I believe in therapies grounded in scientific research and appreciate the strong link between solution-focussed hypnotherapy and neuroscience, as suggested in a 2019 review by Halsband and Wolf which examined hypnosis’s positive impact on brain circuits. I am reassured by my clients’ positive experience of how hypnotherapy can help in treating anxiety, stress and depression. This is backed up by a 2024 study by Barney et al., examining the positive impact of online hypnotherapy in lowering anxiety and depression in police staff.

I feel inspired and encouraged when clients have reached where they want to be and have learned new ways to look after themselves. As an empathetic practitioner, I follow a person-centred approach, tailoring my work to each client’s needs and supporting them compassionately. My approach is inclusive, and I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients and members of the LGBT+ community. I fully understand that social pressure can add to mental health issues, whatever your background and goals and I care about supporting people facing this.

If you're unsure or have further questions, please do reach out. I will always listen to you and answer honestly.
